Keeping those 90s hallmarks intact but with these little \ntouches that say “we have found our own identity”, there is a \ngruesomeness and discomfort on this record that will suggest a maturing \nfrom the band while their aim to play punishing music is no less \nin-your-face.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eConsuming you with an eldritch atmosphere while \npiercing through the fog with rancidity, Sněť have a massive production \non their new offering that will crush all with total morbidity. \nCombining the mulch-y tones of death metal’s heyday with an even more \nclassic warmth to their sound is a winning combination. While still \nfeeling as grotesque as ever, there is more to this album than just \nthat. It’s a savage, battering listen that combines excellently placed \nhooks with the more violent and chaotic moments to concoct something \nstraightforward and yet gripping. There is no pretence to Sněť; they \nsimply play death metal the way they want to hear it, and that really \nshows on “V bažinách vědomí”.
