With the new album "Defy" the FOUR SEATS FOR INVALIDES also celebrate their ten year band anniversary and that with a hefty punch of pure and extreme Grindcore, which nicely severs the top of the skull from the brain. The drum computer thrashes until the electrodes start to glow, while the musicians add it all into a massive wall of droning guitars, pumping basses and brutal vocals.
All that together surely does not form any novelty and won't re-define the scene, still "Defy" has turned out to be a very appealing and mature epos. FOUR SEATS FOR INVALIDES can without any problems stand in one line with MORTICIAN, HAEMMORHAGE or ROTTEN SOUND and also don't break with time-honoured traditions in the style of NAPALM DEATH, BRUTAL TRUTH or TERRORIZER. The altogether 16 tracks emanate a lot of power and besides the offered variety also please the ear with a truly fat sound. There it is evident that we do not have blood young newcomers, but veteran musicians that already are roaming the scene for ten long years and with the new long player once more prove that they don't belong to the old iron yet. Friends of blithe Grindcore should get this one without long musing and if needed get in touch via the internet as I guess that it'll be hard to get this album via the regular dealers. Additionally with FOUR SEATS FOR INVALIDES you have 100% sureness to support the underground and not throwing money down the ravenous throats of money crazy labels.
