Montreal’s SHOW OF BEDLAM push the femme fronted doom boundaries all across the confines of Roont, the follow-up to their split with JUCIFER. Take the atmospheric curdle of RWAKE, BATTLE OF MICE, SALOME and UFOMMAMUT, mix with liberally bludgeoning sprinkles of sludge and occult bathed 70s riffs akin to early ELECTRIC WIZARD and more recently WINDHAND, add a few pinches of the DIY punk-rock attitude, let simmer with the baroque poetry of vocalist/lyricist Paulina Richards as she sings, screams, growls, and shrieks from front album cover to back, and then prepare a bucket to catch your lopped off head.
