IMPALED was founded in the Year Of Our \nGore 1997, begat by vocalist\/guitarist Sean McGrath, who quickly \ninspired drummer Raul Varela to join in the morbid surgical mayhem. In \n1999 bassist Ross Sewage enlisted, cementing the band’s line-up for \ntheir classic demo “From Here To Colostomy”. In 2000, IMPALED recorded \ntheir first album, “The Dead Shall Dead Remain”, subjecting locales to a\n multitude of eviscerating live performances. Then the floodgates opened\n and the dead rose and invaded the land (i.e. they toured the U.S. with \nNile and Incantation), and the unwary public was laid to waste and \nreborn as IMPALED worshippers. After two more horrific discs and another\n set of national blood-soaked killing sprees, the band found a world \nsickeningly repulsed yet eagerly awaiting their regurgitated offal. The \nservices of EMT “Emergency Metal Technician” and guitarist Jason Kocol \nwere\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\" style=\"\"\u003e then enlisted rounding out \nthe abominable goretet. The band’s effective yet gore-ridden experience \nin the operating theater led them to look for a record label capable of \nproperly disseminating their gruesome ideologies. Century Media stepped \nin, and an experienced surgeon speed-staunched the hemorrhaging talent. \nTrey Spruance (Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3) was enlisted to record the \nrepugnant noises, and the world’s sickest concept album “Death After \nLife” was pressed for posterity. What future terror will mankind be made\n to suffer under the bile-encrusted fists of the almighty IMPALED?
