Having crossed paths repeatedly in\n the scene and on tour, including 2018 dates with Undergang and \nCorpsessed, the connection between the two camps runs deep.\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\n\u003cbr\u003e\n“We recorded 11 songs for our third album Floating in Timeless Streams \nand felt that two of them worked especially well together, so we decided\n to reserve those for a split,” explains Tuomas K. of Lie in Ruins\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\n\u003cbr\u003e\nIt was Strychnos vocalist Martin Leth Andersen who set things in motion:\n “I like their back catalogue and know Tuomas very well from touring, so\n it was a no-brainer for me to reach out.”\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\n\u003cbr\u003e\nStrychnos also contribute two tracks - recorded in 2023 during the \nArmageddon Patronage sessions. “The songs were left off the album not \nbecause they lacked quality, but because they didn’t quite fit the \noverall puzzle of the record,” Andersen explains\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\" style=\"\"\u003e.\n “‘Carnival of Tragedies’ and ‘Materiens Palads’ (Palace of Matter) \nexplore a complete reversal of mankind’s dominance and the horrors of \nthe material world, alongside a yearning to transcend into the \notherworld.”\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\n\u003cbr\u003e\nThe Lie in Ruins side of the split was produced by trusted engineer \nHenri at Trollhouse Audio.
