LORDS OF THE STONE - Roses For The Dead CD

Zespół Lords of the Stone powstał w 1992 roku jako projekt doom deathmetalowy w północnej Holandii. Stałym elementem kariery Lords of the Stone był Berthus Westehuys i jego studio Franky's Recordings Kitchen (God Dethroned, Asphyx, Severe Torture). Wszystkie cztery dema, split ep i album długogrający „Nightflower” (Massacre Records, 1997) zostały nagrane przez Berthusa w jego studiu. Obszerna kompilacja „Roses for the Dead” to (prawie kompletna – ze względu na ograniczenia pojemności płyty, cover i jeden utwór musiały zostać pominięte) kompilacja demo Lords of the Stone. W tym dema „The Rhymes of Bitterness” (1992), „Diamond in the Dust” (1994), demo „In an Eyelid's Fall” (1995) oraz ostatnie demo „Sweet Revenge” (1998), łącznie 14 utworów. Przez lata zespół współpracował między innymi z gitarzystą Roelem Dijkstrą i jego bratem, wokalistą André Dijkstrą, gitarzystą i wokalistą God Dethroned Henrim Satlerem (pierwsze dwa dema) oraz Martine van Loon (ex-The Gathering 1993-1994). Wszystkie utwory zostały zremasterowane i odrestaurowane przez Berthusa Westerhuysa w Franky's Recordings Kitchen.
