BURIAL RUTHLESS - Held by Evil CD (digipak)

“Held By Evil” is the debut full-length album by BURIAL RUTHLESS, a technical death metal band based in Spain and originally formed in Venezuela. Across eleven tracks, the band explores themes of corruption, oppression, psychological collapse, and the destruction of human identity, creating a dark conceptual narrative driven by violence, fear, and manipulation. BURIAL RUTHLESS combines progressive brutal death metal with technical death metal while maintaining old-school aggression and an uncompromising approach. The album delivers a modern, heavy, and oppressive sound, characterized by intense atmospheres and complex, chaotic song structures. Tracks such as “Demons Within” and “Mutilated Mind” perfectly showcase the band's raw and disturbing musical identity. Throughout the record, the music constantly shifts between sheer brutality, dark atmospheres, and emotionally devastating passages, while the lyrics portray the collapse of individuals trapped within systems of control and suffering. The production retains an organic, raw, and aggressive character without sacrificing clarity, heaviness, or precision.

Highly recommended for fans of NECROPHAGIST, OBSCURA, VADER, DECAPITATED, and KRISIUN.
