After a six-year release hiatus, Polish death metal BANISHER returns with a new studio album, Metamorphosis.

BANISHER was formed in Rzeszów, Poland, in 2005 by Hubert Więcek (DIETH, ex-Acid Drinkers live, ex-Decapitated). Delivering a dynamic blend of diverse modern death metal, their sound is both musically mature and technically advanced, marked by groovy, catchy riffing, intense drumming, and aggressive, furious vocals. Inspired by dreams and nightmares, their thought-provoking lyrics evoke an oneiric atmosphere filled with bewilderment, fright, despair, and anger.
Throughout the years, Banisher’s powerful lineup has included members of renowned acts such as Decapitated, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Belphegor, Vital Remains, DIETH, and Hate.
BANISHER’s last album, Degrees of Isolation, was released via Selfmadegod Records in 2020. After dropping three new singles in 2023 and 2024, the band stormed across Poland on the Aftermath Tour, delivering 12 explosive shows. In 2025, they joined forces with Terrordome and Dormant Ordeal for the Triple XX Tour - a massive joint 20th‑anniversary celebration that peaked with a special hometown show at Rzeszów’s Rockowa Noc Festival. Now charging into 2026, Banisher returns with a brand‑new album Metamorphosis, and a renewed mission to push modern death metal even further.
