BLOODFIELD - Homunculus Sapiens CD (digipak)

Hailing from Vicenza, Italy, BLOODFIELD return with their most ambitious and devastating release to date, “Homunculus Sapiens”. Faster, heavier, and more aggressive than their debut album “Sinners or Liars” (2016), the new record pushes the band's thrash metal foundations to new extremes, delivering a relentless assault of razor-sharp riffs, crushing rhythms, and raw intensity. Lyrically, “Homunculus Sapiens” explores the darkest corners of the human mind, confronting themes of violence, existential struggle, mental illness, and inner demons, while leaving a faint glimmer of hope amid the chaos. Each track unfolds as a disturbing story fueled by powerful emotions and psychological tension. The opening track “Solitude Pt.1” plunges the listener into an insomnia-driven spiral of madness, while “Nightmare” explores the haunting weight of regret. “Just Like That” delivers an explosive portrayal of alcohol-fueled homicidal rage. Independently recorded and mastered by renowned producer Jens Bogren, “Homunculus Sapiens” showcases BLOODFIELD's evolution in both songwriting and sound, combining old-school thrash metal aggression with a modern, powerful production. A fierce and uncompromising release that will appeal to dedicated thrash metal veterans and newcomers alike.
