Zero Mentality is one of the most exciting bands to come out of the German Hardcore scene within the past 10 years for numerous reasons but mainly because this band strives to push the boundaries and limitations of Hardcore yet still remain focused and in touch with what Hardcore is about. Musically, Zero Mentality are ahead of many bands these days as this band would squeeze into most genres of hard and alternative music with their catchy hooks and devastatingly crushing heavy parts. Mix this with a vocalist that springboards between the English and German language with no harsh transitions as well as creating dynamic vocal lines in a range of different singing styles and you have a band that is bubbling at the surface waiting to pounce and become the next big thing. As far as debut albums go, "In Fear Of Forever" must be one of the most successful and important yet as the band have proved with this release that you can keep the traditional sound of Hardcore alive and well, but inject it with new ideas and influences without ever being a clone of any given band, which in a day and age where style over substance has become an ever increasing reality. Coupling both an intense live show and a destructive debut album can only mean one thing for the members of Zero Mentality and that is to crush everything and everyone in their path whilst gaining new friends and fans from around the world in the process.
